Perch Restaurant is the newest dining option in the heart of Marlboro. “Globally inspired. Locally sourced.” Perch is the sister restaurant to Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill in Cold Spring (where you can also enjoy Glorie Seyval Blanc or Cabernet Franc with your meal). Enjoy Glorie Cabernet Franc with a variety of bar appetizers, dinner or brunch on Sundays. Try the Blistered Shishito Peppers!

Suzie’s Starlight Lounge and Restaurant is eclectically decorated, warm and inviting. “A cozy setting under a starlit ceiling.” Dining room on the first floor, lounge upstairs. Specials every night! Suzie offers Glorie Seyval Blanc, Riesling, Jumpin Jazz, Cabernet Franc, and Red Monkey!

The Falcon sits above the Marlboro Falls and offers “no-cover live jazz in an intimate, rustic venue that also offers American fare & art exhibitions.” If you haven’t yet been to enjoy some terrific live music along with some really good eats and Glorie wine, you must go!

Gunk Haus is a German gastropub located twenty minutes north of us in Clintondale. Everything is deliciously made from scratch, and there is a new bakery on the premises. In the fall this is where you can order up Glorie Rumple Pumpkin!

The Lakeview House offers “casual gourmet dining on the shores of Orange Lake, NY” (Newburgh). Definitely for the short drive for just drinks, appetizers and the lakeside view, or a full meal. Here, too, you can enjoy Glorie Seyval Blanc, Cabernet Franc, or Riesling with whatever food suits your fancy! Lakehouse Clams and Braised Short Ribs are favorites.

Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill is across the river and south of us in Cold Spring. Just a short walk from the Metro North station, the focus here is on Italian specialties that are perfect pairings with Glorie Seyval Blanc and Cabernet Franc!

There are lots of great lodging options in the Hudson Valley. These are close to us:

Buttermilk Falls Inn  occupies 75 acres and includes lodging options, a farm-to-table restaurant an organic kitchen garden and orchard and a world-class spa.

Fox Hill Bed and Breakfast provides quiet country comfort just up the road in Highland, and it’s in close proximity to lots of things to do (after you’ve finished wine tasting for the day, of course).

The Walkway Over the Hudson is an immensely popular attraction for tourists and locals alike. An old abandoned railroad bridge was transformed into a pedestrian park. It’s the longest, elevated pedestrian bridge in the world. The bridge spans the Hudson River, connecting Highland and Poughkeepsie, and is 1.28 miles long.

The Hudson Valley Rail Trail offers 3.5 miles of asphalt for hiking, biking, horseback riding, rollerblading through hardwood forests, over Black Creek and under two spectacular stone-arch bridges; picturesque and family-friendly.

Rocking Horse Ranch offers a plethora of indoor and outdoor activities for adults and kids of all ages. You’ll definitely want to check them out.

West Point Military Academy is where the United States Army’s future leaders are educated, trained and inspired. Visitors may enter academy grounds on guided tours. There’s so much history to absorb here, and, located right on the Hudson River, the grounds are gorgeous. For an afternoon of excitement with goosebumps, consider attending an Army football game. Go ARMY!

Storm King Art Center is an open-air museum with perhaps the largest contemporary outdoor sculpture collection in the United States. Walk it yourself or take a tram ride to view more than 100 sculptures.
